Too often we underestimate the power of a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around." -- Leo Buscalia
I was watching Oprah's Lifeclass and she asked a really good question of her viewers (as usual). She shared a story about how she attended a funeral for the husband of one of her staff and how hearing his eulogy made her want to be a better person. She asked us to think about "What would you want to be said about you at your eulogy?"
And immediately she followed it up with, "And I'm not talking about your job orĀ your professional accomplishments. I'm talking about you as a person."
Action Step: Think about what would you want to be said about you at your eulogy as a mate, a mother, a daughter and a friend. Start moving toward being that person. It's never too late.
Affirmation: Today I recognize each opportunity to act with caring and kindness. I live (and will leave) a legacy of love.
